Mooseman Jeff’s Favorite Music
For as nearly long as I can remember, I have had a passion for discovering music from all over the world and sharing it with others. My sharing began with humming the melodies as best I could. This was replaced by creating “mix tapes” for family and friends. Then came Mooseman Jeff CDs, followed by cards with special links, and now a rudimentary website.
I always purchase music legally because I want to support the artists who created it. If you hear and like anything here, I encourage you to do the same. I rarely feature very popular artists since their music is already pervasive; I like to discover and share my delight for hidden gems.
Music can be magical and it can offer a great entrée into other cultures and the souls of great and creative artists. Happy listening and exploring.

Peace Is a Come (Prayer Song for Zimbabwe)
A collaboration between the Mooseman and a wonderful cappella trio called Awakening. The song has been revised over the years as new problems become apparent in the world, but this very early version is still my favorite. I once offered this song as a musical prayer for some special friends who were addressing great hardship in Zimbabwe, especially Oliver Mutukudzi and Never Mpofu, two of my heroes, musically and in many other ways I now offer this Prayer Song to anyone my might seek a gentle reminder that we are not alone in this world. It is my belief that God is available for all of us when we are ready, but we must also do our part to help build a viable, sustainable and peaceful world. Co-creation can be both beautiful and powerful when done with a pure heart.
